Congratulations to Silverines Viends and Deux for going through to the semifinals of the Year 8 Cup!

Silverines Viends 1-0 Ivalice Tres

Jason Leong ( TSV#08) scored the only goal of the game to secure three points and a clean sheet for the Silverines Viends. It was a high tempo game. Nothing much in the first half. Syakir (TSV#10) substituted with Zainul (TSV#04) during half time. This proved fruitful when he combined with Jason to produce the winning goal. The goal was contreversial as a foul was thought to have been made on Fat Joe but the goal stood.

Silverines Viends 2-0 Ivalice Uno

Captain Jason Leong (TSV #08) did it again as they beat one of the most intimadating teams, Ivalice Uno who has the likes of Dzul, Aisam ,Syafiq Adli and Farhan Amidon. In the first few minutes, Farhan Amidon was sent off for delibaretly touching the ball with his hand. This was the defining moment in the game.Viends took a defensive posture during the game. During half time, Zainul and Jason went out for Malik(TSV#07) and Syakir (TSV#10) which added an attacking force to the team. Syakir went out again for Jason who later put the first goal past Nicholas to score the first goal which sparked wild celebrations amongst the players. Malik capped off his impressive perfomance with a deflected shot which ended in the back off the net which again caused ecstasy to run into the Silverines' camp.

Change In The Cup Format

Listen up everyone!

Every captain of each teams have agreed to change a few things:

Each match consists of 5 mins per half (Total 10 mins per match)

Each teams will play twice and the opponents have been drawn tadi udah..

The semifinals and finals' time will be increased to 10 mins per half (Total 20)

Referee for the match will be Khalid Mahmud..

All rules will still apply except for this few ones..

Okay guys , as y'all know the Year 8 Cup is gonna be held this Saturday , 2.30-5.30 , we will be represented by our 3 teams ; Silverines Viends , Silverines Deux and Silverines Drei. Do make sure you make yourself free on that day , if it is completely 100% impossible for you to stay back nada kami paksa , but those yg dpt stayback please do ;P Bh this tournament has been somethin we all been looking forward and worked hard for.. but first jgnth focus 100% towards this for now , masih ada priksa ;P lpas MIB exam at 12:15 pm and 1 second baruth 100% focus ;D

Jgn lupa our motto , Teamwork and team spirit is the key to victory, there isn't an i in team ;P and as si farhan once said , "Lets show em what we got!" , forget all the stress of the exam and play for the joy of football ;D don't forget to read the rules below as copied by Muie , to avoid arguing kh apa krg masa tournament and dont forget to wear the full jersey..if possible ;D bh atu sja , bye!

YEAR 8 CUP 2009

Guys, we'll finally
have the Year 8
Cup!
It'll be held starting Saturday
afternoon until the next week.
We'll try to finish the cup as
quickly as usual since banyak yg
mock ugama masa pagi. Take
note that all matches will be
played in the afternoon starting
2.30 pm to 5.30pm. We start a
bit late to let sky shade a bit..
Ok, format of the cup.
15 MINS PER MATCH. 7 mins and
30 secs per half. NO HALF TIME!
Just switching of sides..
Rolling substitution but should a
team fields more than 5 players
e.g. a player comes on before
the substituted player steps
over the side line, the coming on
player will be given a yellow card.
A yellow card will remain on a
player for 2 matches and after
that he's clean. If he gets a red
card, he's suspended for a
match.
Game format: Round robin
followed by knockouts.
Here's the explanation: The cup
starts with every team playing
all teams. As usual, a win is
worth 3 points while a draw is
worth 1 point. The losing team
gets no point. Then after the
round is done, the highest four
teams is drawn into the semi-
finals. The winning teams will
battle it out for 1st and 2nd
place while the losing teams
battle it out for 3rd place..
Here's the catch, if a team has
not enough players, the absent
players can be substituted for
the match by two person only.
For example, let's say Ivalice Uno
only have 3 players, then any
two of the other teams can fill in
the empty spots. However, if
they have less than 3 players, it
will result in the team to be
"walked-over" which means its
an automatic win for the
opposing team.
A little side note, all names will
be written down so there will be
no cheating..
There will be no prize, only pride
which is sweeter than anything
in the football biz.
If you have a problem with this,
then why do you even wanna
play in it? No pain no gain, amigo!
About who'll be refereeing the
matches, we've worked it out
this way.. Let's say one team
from Ivalice and Silverines are
playing then the referee will be
from Fatalis. Just to be fair..
If Silverines and Fatalis are
playing, then one player from
Ivalice will become referee..
Get it? ok..
Once you're in it, no quitting.. If
you quit, then your team will
have to handle a ton of shame.

Match Report : 8B Silverines 3 - 4 Fatalis - Roberto blunders

Today the 8B Silverines started with a 4-1-2-1-2 formation proposed by Jason with Syakir , Zainul and Jason leading the attack. The Silverines started slowly , falling behind after Roberto failed to close down a 1 on 1 situation , but the Silverines were quick to equalise with Jason hitting a top corner shot from the right wing , after that , Fatalis managed to score another one before Najib equalised by a cross from Jason , but Fatalis once again broke through a under performing defence and Roberto again failed to deal with the attack and Fatalis scored 2 more to make the score 4-2. The Silverines pressed forward and Jason earned a free kick after being brought down by Amir. Malik hit a curling free kick that just missed the post. Jason then had a close range effort but Zainul of Fatalis made a good save and Najib blew a close range effort by hitting the crossbar, Malik managed to pull a late consolation goal with a thundering shot to the top corner. But it proved too little too late as Fatalis held on to win. Nice game fatalis and good try guys :D Oh and Amir Hamid our Drei Captain said the Silverines Drei beat team si Fadhlee masa PE , nice one ;P bh atu sja

8B Silverines 1 - 3 Fatalis

Today , the 8B Silverines unfortunately lost 3 -1 to Fatalis after a gruelling game , the 8B Silverines fell behind after a goal from Jonathan from 1 cm from the goal xD , then Azim scored another goal with 15 mins left , and with 10 mins left , the captain Jason pulled a goal back as he was fastest to react after Syakir hit the post with his effort. Unfortunately in the last few minutes , Azim put the game beyond doubt after the Silverines players were up front desperate to find an equaliser as our goalkeeper Roberto asked the Silverines to go dpan sja xD . Malik , Zainul , Syakir and Fik all came close to scoring but the Fatalis goalkeeper Zainul Ariffin was in top form today. Nice try guys , tomorrow we'll be up against Fatalis again on the football field so we'll put 110% tomorrow :D Congratulations fatalis , bh atu sja
